New York Methodist Hospital's Sparks of Life program is a wonderful way for musicians, artists, yoga teachers--and anyone else with a talent to share--to improve the quality of life for patients during their stay in the hospital. Currently, we are seeking talented and enthusiastic musicians (ages 16+) to brighten the days of patients on the pediatric, physical rehabilitation, geriatric and acute psychiatry, and oncology units. Volunteers can play to groups or at a patient's bedside. Do something good and get some practice time in!
